Madera’s Beauty Salon is a multigenerational, family-owned salon built on craftsmanship, education, and over five decades of experience in the beauty industry. Our story began with Rosa Tello, who discovered her passion for hairdressing in Guadalajara, Mexico at 13 years old. After immigrating to the United States in the late 1970s, she worked tirelessly to build a better life for her family and ultimately opened three successful salons, laying the foundation for the legacy we carry on today.

Four of Rosa’s children went on to become professional hairdressers, including Rachel Tello Hernandez, who has been working behind the chair and owning salons since 2002. In 2017, Rachel opened Madera’s Beauty Salon in Simi Valley, California, extending the family’s commitment to quality, artistry, and service. The tradition continues with the third generation: in 2019, Rachel’s son Pedro Tello joined the industry as a professional stylist, followed by her daughter Alexis Hernandez in 2023.

Our team has continued to grow, bringing talent, skill, and advanced training to our salon. We proudly have four additional stylists, three of whom each have over 20 years of professional experience, and another with 15 years of established expertise. We also offer services beyond hairstyling with a dedicated nail technician and a licensed esthetician with over 12 years of experience in skincare and beauty services. Together, our staff delivers a comprehensive salon experience rooted in knowledge, professionalism, and continued education.

Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment where every client feels valued, confident, and cared for.
